Event Plaza, Rijswijk – The Indonesian Embassy The Hague organised a farewell event for three prominent Embassy officials at Event Plaza, Rijswijk, Wednesday evening, 10 January 2018.
It happened to be that the leaving home staff have very special relations to SIDH. Prof. Bambang Hari Wibisono, Ph.D. (Education and Cultural Attaché), Police Chief Commissioner Yuda Gustawan (Police Attaché) and Mr Andrei T Marentek (Coordinator of Economic Affairs). Professor Hari has been very attentive, supportive and nurturing for SIDH progress. He fully backed up SIDH endeavours to achieve better. Mr Gustawan is the father of our leaving students, Abiyyi and Jihan; meanwhile Mr Marentek is our alumnus. Mr Gustawan and Marentek have been also very close to and contributed a lot to SIDH advancement as well as participated in our various activities.
The good news was that Prof. Hari would assume a new prestigious assignment as the Indonesian Ambassador to the UNESCO in Paris. Mr Gustawan would soon commence a staff and command course in Lembang for next rank promotion and Mr Marentek would assume next responsibility in Jakarta. This fact seemed to embolden the perception that after a successful diplomatic posting in The Hague would open promising promotion.
The embassy also simultaneously combined the event with the celebration of the New Year 2018 (JazzIndo et.al New Year’s Concert). SIDH Principal, teachers and School Committee Executives were present in the occasion.
In his opening speech our H.E. Ambassador Puja, as a farewell expression to the leaving officials, cited a quote from Mahatma Gandhi, “There are no good-byes, where ever you’ll be, you’ll be in my heart.” SIDH would like to sincerely thank, congratulate, and wish all the best for Prof. Hari, Mr Gustawan and Mr Marentek. Just as what Gandhi had said, let’s we always keep in touch.
